Biography
Thank-you for taking the time to learn more about me; I look forward to the opportunity to learn more about you! I graduated from New York University with a Masters degree in social work and have been in clinical practice since 2007. I have worked in community, hospital and private settings and offer you my extensive experience. I specialize in addictions and co-occurring disorders. I am trained to implement treatment protocols which help clients manage two or issues, simultaneously. For instance, I offer specific treatments to help clients overcome chronic pain and addiction, and also, trauma and addiction. I believe that addressing more than just one problem at a time is both efficient and effective. Most clients feel this type of integrated therapy expedites their growth process.
I am trained as a motivational interviewing consultant which is a cutting edge practice that enhances your motivation to change and provides you with the confidence to achieve your goals.
I am a trained reiki level II practitioner and also utilize clinical meditation in my psychotherapy practice. Holistic treatments can enhance your experience in therapy by enabling you to deepen your ability to relax and reach maximum treatment benefit.
I have been invited to speak at national and international conferences regarding my individual and group work as a standard of care. Topics for lecture include best practice group work interventions & the feminization of homelessness among returning service members & best responses.
